First Steps Grief Support Group is a bereavement group designed especially for anyone who has experienced a loss within the last 6 months. This 6-session group, meeting over the course of 3 months, offers you support as the first steps are taken in dealing with a loss. We utilize videos, books, speakers, and discussions to help participants learn about the grief process, share stories of loss, and regain hope. This pre-diabetes class, a joint program of the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, helps individuals at risk for Type 2 diabetes take the first step toward preventing diabetes and living a healthier, longer life. The FHN Parkinson’s Support Group meets monthly to provide a vital space for individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease to connect, share experiences, and find comfort in community. We offer a mix of emotional support, practical advice, and education about the disease. We also share tips on coping strategies, medications, and therapies, fostering a collaborative environment.
