FHN’s Healthy Heart Hustle is back, offering a 5K run and an 0.8-mile Victory Lap for families helped by the FHN Cardiology team. The fun begins Saturday, July 17 at the FHN Family Healthcare Center - Burchard Hills, 1010 W. Fairway Drive in Freeport. Day-of-race registration will be held from 7-7:30 a.m. and the social distanced, rolling start 5K run begins at 8 a.m. The Victory Lap will be held immediately following the 5K start. Proceeds from the race will benefit heart patients in northwest Illinois through the FHN Cardiology Department. Advance online registration is $25/adults and $10/ages 17 and under through July 2. (Register by July 2 to guarantee a t-shirt.) After July 2, registration is $35/adults. The event will follow CDC and Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines in effect at the time of the race. A virtual 5K option also is available at registration. Participants may complete the run/walk anywhere and anytime between Friday, July 9 and Saturday, July 17 and post results or share them with the FHN Foundation.
